Why I have a Guestbook.

Well, I was browsing the Internet one day and came across a site about my home town. This was the first time I had seen this site. Anyway, I clicked in to read the Guestbook comments, and the entry right at the top was a name that I recognised. The man said he was originally from Port Glasgow, but had lived in Ontario, Canada for many years. It was the same name as an ex classmate from school who had emigrated to Canada when he was around 17 years old. He had left his email address, so I emailed him, and it was the same person. We had not seen each other for the best part of 40 years, but now keep in touch. That's why I have a Guestbook.

My thanks to everyone who has taken the time to add their Guestbook comments. Here is what some visitors had to say ......

Hedy from Australia - Married to a Scotsman, live in Perth, Australia, went to Scotland in the 90s and loved every bit of it, beautiful country, lovely, warm and friendly people, accents to-die-for! Can't wait to visit again.

Steve McGuigan from Hamilton, Canada - Both my parents immagrated from Dundee to Canada in 1949. Finally got to go to Scotland myself in 2005, wish it were cheaper to travel, i'd return year after year.

Donna MacNabb from Nova Scotia - Love it!

Graham from Scotland - Hi, Just wanted to say I enjoyed wee Jock's quiz. I'm not exactly a numptie, but I should have done a wee bit better.

Joan from Scotland - Hi, Two things I have never tried in my Mince & Tatties are bay leaves and chilli powder, but after seeing one of your recipes I tried it, and it's delicious, thank you.

Dave from England - We just spent a week up at Fort William. The weather wasn't too good, but the scenery was amazing, and so was the hospitality. We'll be back.

Kirsty from Scotland - I am doing a college project about Scottish Castles at the moment and I found your Castle pages most informative. This made my work a lot easier.

Catherine from Wales - I am coming to scotland for the first time in November. What a lovely story of greyfriars bobby, I may see the statue when I'm in Edinburgh.

Steve from Wales - I had a great time cycling in Scotland recently, even got to see a couple of castles and great scenery. Your site has some good information on it.

Geoffrey Lang from Canada - I'm originally from Scotland and I'm visiting just now. Found your site helpful as I plan to do some kayaking.

Rose from Scotland - Great website. Enjoyed browsing and lots of useful information...keep up the good work!

Colin Archibald from Scotland - I have done a lot of golfing around Ayrshire and fishing on the west coast. Scotland is a beautiful country. You have a good website, I hope you have a lot of success with it.

Anh Wu from Vietnam - Great to see your site. We offer the same things in Vietnam.

Mary from Ireland -I've just watched the Scotland video tour and I really enjoyed it. Can you tell me what the music is?  My reply - Hi Mary, the songs are "This is your land" and "New gold dream", both by Scottish band, Simple Minds. Glad you enjoyed it, and thanks for your comment.

Frank from Scotland - Great website. We are from scotland but still learned a lot about our own country. True about the weather but it shouldn't put you off. Keep up the good work.

Many thanks for all your guestbook comments, keep them coming.
