With breathtaking scenery, history and legend, Scotland embraces and enchants her visitors. A warm welcome awaits you, whether you choose to explore the diverse culture and traditions, or experience the magic
with an action packed programme of Outdoor Activities & Great Events!

Hello, and welcome. I'm John, and I'm sure your visit will be a pleasant one as you discover Scotland and all this beautiful country has to offer. I've lived here all my life and I'll share with you all I've learned about the land.

Let me take you on a magical journey as you .......

Discover Scotland attractions .......

Edinburgh Castle
It's well known that visitors love Scotland  for our colourful history, our culture and  great attractions, especially Our Castles,  and the many lochs and mountains that  surround our beautiful countryside.

Not to mention the great museums and  architecture, the world famous events  that take place in our capital, Edinburgh,  and the Fantastic Nightlife and shopping
in our Scottish cities. You'll find plenty to do when you discover Scotland.

You may ask why I decided to build a website about Scotland. Well, the answer to that is ... it's something I'm passionate about! I know, there
are many excellent websites on the subject already, but I love this place.

Discover the culture .......

Wedding Piper Pipe Band
At the risk of not doing my country  sufficient justice, I will try my best to  introduce you to the true flavour of  Scottish Culture, history and traditions.

What I will be writing about on this site  is an individual account of everything  the country has to offer, (well, okay,  make that almost everything) but it is  based on my personal experiences, and,  of course, a lifetime of living here.

By the time you've read some of the pages on this site, you will discover Scotland, and you'll have the answers to some of the most common questions about the country ...... Questions like ......

Why do visitors return year after year?
  • Do they come to trace their ancestors?
  • To relax amidst glorious scenery?
  • Is our colourful and romantic history the main attraction?
  • Is it the excellent terrain for outdoor activities?
  • A varied programme of cultural events?
  • Perhaps it's the secrets of our castles?
Actually, they come for all of these reasons, and many more.

The fact is they keep coming back, and they fall in love with the place, so it's not really surprising that holidays in Scotland have become so popular.

Discover more of Scotland .......

Ben Alligin
You see, people come back because  there's so much happening at any time of  the year that a week or two is just not  enough to experience and appreciate  everything the country has to offer.

Explore the site at your leisure and find  some superb outdoor activities including  Golf, Fishing, Cycling, Hiking & Hillwalking,  and see the best of the countryside, the majestic mountains, beautiful lochs, and some of our Fabulous Wildlife. It really is a true haven for outdoor enthusiasts and keen lovers of wildlife.

Save on flights and accommodation .......

If looking to plan a Scotland trip, you can make substantial savings with fantastic deals on Flights & Hotels. If hotels don't appeal, why not spoil yourself with a stay in one of our Scotland Holiday Rentals. Or find some peace and relaxation in one of our Holiday Cottages in quiet but stunning locations throughout the country, there are many to choose from.

Discover all there is to see and do .......

Loch Lomond
Find the best places to visit for stunnng  scenery, great nightlife, attractions,  activities and events, places like ......  Edinburgh, Loch Lomond, and Glasgow.

Culture, adventure, history, whatever it is  you look for in a holiday you will find it  here, and your visit promises to be both  exhilarating and inspirational. I'll guide you  to the best places to go on day trips and  tours. So if you'd like to pay us a visit, you'll find everything you need to plan your trip right here on this site.

Don't forget to relax with a wee dram of our famous Scotch whisky.

The left navigation bar and the table of contents below will link you to each of the main categories, where you will find links to all other relevant pages. If you experience any difficulties the Site Map should be helpful.

Thanks for visiting,
John
