Highlights of the month include the Tall Ships Races in Greenock, the Hebridean Celtic Festival, and the major music festival T in the Park.



Glasgow International Jazz Festival
29th June - 3rd July 2011, Glasgow
The Glasgow International Jazz Festival features traditional and mainstream jazz, blues and contemporary.


The Hebridean Challenge
TBC, Outer Hebrides
A demanding adventure race in the Outer Hebrides. Five day event sees teams competing in road and hill running, road and mountain biking, sea swimming and kayaking.


Barclays Scottish Open
7th - 10th Jul 2011, Castle Stuart Golf Links, Inverness
In 2011 the tournament has moved to the stunning and challenging Highland links course, Castle Stuart, overlooking the Moray Firth in Inverness, Scotland.


T in the Park
8th - 10th Jul 2011, Balado, Perthshire
Tickets for this years show have already sold out. This festival has become one of the major European Music Festivals.


The Classic Malts Cruise
8th - 10th Jul 2011
Over 100 yachts from all over Europe will set sail from Oban on a 200 mile trip, calling at some famous coastal whisky distilleries on this popular sailing event.


The Tall Ships Races
9th - 12th July 2011, Greenock
From music acts and dance troops to street theatre and children's activities, Greenock will come alive with colour and carnival fun at the most spectacular maritime festival in the world.


Hebridean Celtic Festival
13th - 16th July 2011, The Hebrides
Traditional and contemporary music feature in the Hebridean Celtic Festival, and with ceilidhs, childrens' activities and workshops, a great time s guaranteed at this popular festival.


Edinburgh International Jazz & Blues Festival
22nd - 31st Jul 2011, Edinburgh
Outdoor concerts on the streets and all sorts of venues, with international artistes performing in the longest-running jazz festival in the UK.


Inverness Highland Games
23th Jul 2011, Inverness
World Championship Games for Heavies aged over forty. Scotland's biggest inter-clan gathering features traditional music and highland dancing in the most spectacular Highland Games event.


Speyfest
26th - 31st July 2011, Fochabers, Moray
Northern Celtic Festival has a wonderful weekend with a special programme for young people. Modern music and concerts, Celtic rock and ceilidhs with musicians from all over the world.
