Loch Lomond Restaurants
Loch Lomond > Loch Lomond Restaurants
Loch Lomond covers a vast area, some twenty four miles long and six miles wide, and the villages are scattered all around the loch, so knowing where to find some good Loch Lomond restaurants should be quite helpful.
I have only featured five that I've eaten in, some are on the loch and some are a little bit further inland, but I can recommend them for good service and quality food at reasonable prices.
Clicking on the links will take you directly on to the restaurant websites. They will open in a new window, so when you click out you'll be back here.
Some good Loch Lomond restaurants :
The Lodge On Loch Lomond Hotel
Luss Argyll G83 8PA
Tel : 01436 860201
If you're on the west side of the loch you must call in to Luss, not just for the restaurant, but because it's a really beautiful little conservation village. The Lodge does two course special buffet lunches which are good value, and a reasonably priced dinner menu.
The Hungry Monk
Gartocharn
Tel : 01389 830448
My personal favourite, but I don't eat here very often as it's not cheap. Ideal if you want to spoil yourself on a special occasion, with its unique atmosphere, nice decor and great food. From the A82 westbound, follow signs for Balloch. Gartocharn is five miles further on.
The Oak Tree Inn
Balmaha Loch Lomond G63 0JQ
Tel : 01360 870357
On the east side of the loch, this family owned bar & restaurant offers some really good Scottish fare. Daily Seasonal Specials are a feature of the menu and snacks, bar meals and afternoon teas are also served.
Craigard Tea Room
51 Sinclair Street Helensburgh G84 8TG
Tel : 01436 677787
Inland on the west side of the loch, this Helensburgh tea room has expanded into a muti award winnng restaurant. You can have hot filled rolls, and light lunches in the tea room, and full Table D'Hote and A La Carte menus in the restaurant. It has a nice friendly atmosphere.
The Cruin Bar and Restaurant
Loch Lomond Castle Lodges
Arden G83 8RD
Tel : 01389 850588
Situated on the A82 between Arden and Luss, The Cruin offers set menus, full A La Carte and childrens menus. It's quite expensive, but the food is really delicious, especially their home-made dessert selection.
This is a very small selection of Loch Lomond restaurants, there are many cafes and tearooms scattered all around the loch, so you'll never be stuck when you feel like eating.
