Isle of Bute Jazz Festival
4th - 6th, Isle of Bute
Now running for nineteen years, The Isle of Bute Jazz Festival is one of Britain's most popular jazz weekends. Programme of traditional jazz music with some of the top UK and international musicians.
Newton Stewart Walking Festival
11th - 17th May, Newton Stewart, Dumfries & Galloway Tackle the highest hills in the south of Scotland, exploring Galloway and learning about the local environment.
Aviemore and Cairngorms Walking and Mountain Festival
13th - 18th, Aviemore The Aviemore and Cairngorms Walking and Mountain Festival gives you the chance to take part in ten guided walks through the Cairngorms. Try the mountain biking, kayaking, white water rafting, climbing, and canyoning, and finish with a ceilidh supper.
Dumfries & Galloway Arts Festival
25th May - 5th June, Dumfries & Galloway A host of events, including music, dance, literary and theatre, with local and international performers.
The Edinburgh Marathon
26th - 27th May, Edinburgh
Around 100,000 people will throng the capital to watch the marathon runners leave Princes Street and finish in Holyrood Park. A fun day out for everyone.
