Cowalfest 7th - 16th Oct 2011, Cowal Arts Festival and also the largest walking festival in Scotland. Cultural events, arts & walking to celebrate the natural world, mountains, lochs and woodland. The Enchanted Forest 7th - 29th Oct 2011, Pitlochry. Choreographic creation of dramatic light and sound performances. A night time spectacular set in perthshire's Big Tree Country. The Royal National Mod 14th - 22nd October 2011, Oban. Ceud Mile Failte (One Hundred Thousand Welcomes) from Oban! The Royal National MOD, Scotland's premier celebration of its Gaelic language, music and culture is back home to Oban, its birthplace. Relax with a ceilidh, concert, exhibition and a showcase of all things Gaelic. Glenfiddich Piping And Fiddling Championship October 2011, Blair Atholl. The annual showcase of the very best solo pipers and fiddlers, this weekend event in the grand setting of the Blair Castle ballroom, is a major date on Scotland's traditional music calendar.
