Some Good Coffee Shops And
Restaurants in Perth

Town of Perth > Restaurants in Perth

Scottish Restaurants

If I were to publish all the coffee shops and restaurants in every town I mention, each would be a very long list.

My lists tend to be short, and that's because I only feature places where I think you'll enjoy the food, and you won't be grossly overcharged. The lovely town of Perth is no exception, so I have left out the ones I feel do not offer good value. I think you'll like the ones I have mentioned.

Clicking on the links will take you directly on to the restaurant websites.
They will open in a new window, so when you click out you'll be back here.

Good coffee shops and restaurants in Perth :

Brambles Coffee Shop & Bistro
11 Princes Street
Perth
PH2 8NG
Tel : 01738 639 091

One of the well established restaurants in Perth, and it's now under new management. Handily placed in the town centre and great for a quick bite at lunchtime, where you can have a good choice of snacks from filled rolls to paninis and baked potatoes. The dearest thing on the menu is the burgers, but they're tasty, with Aberdeen Angus beef, and well worth it.

63 Tay Street Restaurant
63 Tay Street
Perth
PH2 8NN
Tel : 01738 441451

Go here if you're quite hungry. A bit more expensive - a three course lunch will set you back about £17.50, but with a good selection of dishes to choose from, and delicious food, I believe it's good value for money.

The Parklands Hotel
2 St Leonard's Bank
Perth
PH2 8EB
Tel : 01738 622451

There are two restaurants to choose from here, The No1 Bank, and The Acanthus Restaurant. Both do a nice dinner menu, the latter being the more expensive of the two, with a three course costing about £29. The No1 Bank, in my opnion, has just as good a menu, you don't have to go for the full three course, and it has a less formal atmosphere.

McMillan Coffee Shop
Quarrymill Woodland Park
Isla Road
Perth
PH2 7HQ
Tel : 01738 633890

No website for this one. I mention it because it's run by volunteers, with the proceeds going to cancer reseach. It's worth finding, located on the road from Perth to Old Scone, and it's great value. Serving lunches only, you can have soup, sandwiches and home baking, all very cheap. I'll tell you something, if you're hungry and just want a quick bite, this is as good as any of the restaurants in Perth. If you're in the area, you should try it.

Murrayshall House Hotel
Golf Course
Scone
PH2 7PH
Tel : 01738 551171

About three miles out of town. Take the A94 for Coupar Angus and follow signs for Murrayshall Estate. This is a nice place with good food. A La Carte menu with Chef's Dishes cost £21 for two courses and £26 for three. Duck, Aberdeen Angus Beef, and North Sea Halibut are some of the dishes on offer, and all are served to perfection in pleasant surroundings.

Ballathie House Hotel
Kinclaven
Stanley
Perthshire
PH1 4QN
Tel : 01250 883268

Again just outside of Perth, and great if you fancy a Sunday drive and a special lunch. This place is absolutely beautiful, with plush surroundings, and I think the price tag of £25 for three courses and coffee isn't over the top if you feel like splashing out and really spoiling yourself.

Well that's about it for my recommended restaurants in Perth, and I hope you're fortunate enough to try a couple of them. Now, talking of food, do you have a favourite recipe? A special way of cooking your favourite dish? Maybe a recipe handed down? Why not Share Your Recipe on this site.
