and things to do, ideal for families visiting and residents of Scotland.

There's always something to do in Scotland and much has been covered on the Scottish Attractions page, but here you'll find a good day out without much planning. Just take off in the car or train, and find some good spots for relaxation and enjoyment in all parts of the country.

Largs Day Trip
The beautiful town of Largs is my personal favourite. Situated on the Firth of Clyde, Largs has always been a popular destination for day trippers, with lots to do, including boat trips, and eating places aplenty .....

Culross Village

Isle of Kerrera
If it's peace and relaxation you're after, the Isle of Kerrera is the place. A five minute ferry trip from Oban takes you here, and you feel as if you're in another world. Only around 50 people live on Kerrera .....

Situated in the Trossachs National Park, Loch Katrine is scenic and peaceful, and ideal for a relaxing day trip. The whole of the Trossachs is very popular, and it's highly recommended you hire a bicycle at Trossachs Pier .....

A trip on the Waverley is a must. It's the last sea-going paddle steamer in the world, and very popular, especially in the summer months, for a 'trip doon the watter' enjoying a small refreshment of course .....
