If you know exactly what you're looking for, that's great. Maybe you're unsure, because you don't know enough about the country. Rest assured, wherever your interests lie, whether it's in culture, history or breathtaking scenery, you're guaranteed to find it on my selected Scotland trips. Many people visit Scotland for
our History and Culture Tours. Some come for our fabulous Outdoor Activities, like golf, hiking and cycling. I would say that the best way to see Scotland is by walking, but unless you are a keen hiker then driving is recommended to allow you to see the best of the countryside, and driving here isn't too bad, especially in the Highlands. The places I have written about here are all personal favourites of mine, and I believe they are among some of the best places to see in Scotland. Some of you may prefer the culture and nightlife of the city, but a lot of people take Scotland trips to enjoy beautiful scenery and a relaxed pace. It's really up to you, but if you live in the city then maybe you'd be best opting for a quiet setting with stunning views, but close enough to let you explore the lochs and the charming wee towns and villages around them. I'm fortunate enough to be living on the West Coast, and although I love visiting Glasgow and Edinburgh, two of our most beautiful cities, it's always nice to return home to appreciate the wonderful views that I have here. One of my favourite Scotland trips was a simple drive from my home town of Port Glasgow, on the River Clyde, to Fort William in the north. The views on the Clyde were superb as I crossed over the Erskine Bridge and drove on through Dumbartonshire, to eventually be met by the stunning vista presenting itself on the banks of Loch Lomond. Could it get any better? It did. Driving through Glencoe and taking in the panoramic views amidst land rich in history, was absolutely incredible. And then the sight of the spectacular Ben Nevis was the icing on the cake. It was magnificent. Sorry, I'm rambling on again, but it is so easy to get carried away with the beauty of the Scottish lochs and countryside, so without further ado, let me introduce you to some of my favourite places for Scotland trips.
We have many fabulous beaches, and although some are quite remote, they're well worth visiting. Scotland trips have to include a beach, so I've listed some of the best for fantastic scenery, glorious white sand, and relaxation.
Rob Roy MacGregor territory. Loch Katrine is surrounded by mountains on all sides, and has supplied pure water to the city of Glasgow since 1859. Tourists can take a cruise on the passenger steamship, Sir Walter Scott.
This is possibly the quietest place in the whole of Scotland. A short ferry trip from Oban, and almost car free. If ever you need to escape from everything and enjoy some peace and seclusion, you should go here.
Although most Scots just go for a Largs day trip, it has become popular as a holiday destination with visitors from other parts of the UK, and abroad. With it's fabulous location and facilities, Largs is ideal for Scotland trips. Places To See On Scotland Coach Tours :

Well written about in both music and poetry, Skye could possibly be your ideal holiday destination. Probably the best of Scotland trips for hiking, with fantastic scenery, and offers something for everyone. Hotels in Isle of Skye There's a couple of places I haven't written about, and with very good reason.
